The star-studded ring on the theatre stage
"Come experience the magic of the show!": this is Fred Serex's invitation, and judging by past editions, with him, promises are kept! With twenty exceptional artists, the 2015 vintage of Place au Spectacle! promises to be strong, sexy, and mind-blowing, at the Geneva Casino Theatre, on February 20 and 21.
Fred Serex is passionate about circus arts and has long practiced juggling on stage. Every year for six years, he has organized this grand show, halfway between cabaret and circus. The show offered to the public is most complete: this year, twenty of the best current artists share the stage of the Geneva Casino Theatre.
Acrobats, dancers, jugglers, and even trapeze artists will offer the audience a breathtaking show. After the sporty and comical trio Starbugs in 2014, this sixth edition promises to be even more energetic with the Canadian artists from Spicy Circus, who offer a Spiderman-worthy acrobatic wall trampoline act. Focused on physical performance and dynamism, "Place au spectacle!" brings together artists who have already performed on TV shows and in prestigious circuses. To present these acts, Patrice Roche will serve as the ringmaster. A faithful presence for several years, his voice will echo the audience's emotions, and there will be plenty to feel.
In turn, the hand-to-hand aces of the X-Treme Brothers, the wall trampoline of Spicy Circus, Tatiana Konobas's giant colored balloons for a ground acrobatics act, the whirling juggling of Michael Ferreri, and the aerial feats of Duo Rose trapeze artists will succeed each other to better amaze you. An entertaining and eclectic performance that brings together modern circus arts on stage. These original artists reinvent traditional acts and push performance boundaries ever further.
Also on the program are Franck Wolf and his BMX acrobatics, Martyn Chabry and his countless outfits for a quick-change act, the dancers of the "Les Oiseaux de Paradis" troupe in sumptuous costumes, and the clumsy clown Cesar Dias for a mime-crooner sketch. Internationally renowned artists but also young talents promise funny and breathtaking acts.
